91 Carbon Credits. This is to certify that in the period of 1st January 2011 to 31st December 2011 Church Point Ferry Service has offset 91 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions with the purchase and retirement of carbon credits.

Jan 2011 - Dec 2011: 91 tonnes of greenhouse gas offset

What is 91 tonnes of greenhouse gas?

Take 273 cars off the road for a month (or at least as many tinnies). That’s about 91 tonnes of emissions.

Green Ticket results: 84%

Our regular, full fare commuters made the offsets possible.

84% now choose the
multi-trip Green Ticket, rather than the standard yellow pass. The Green Ticket’s extra $1 went to certified global carbon credits. Our 91 credits helped sustain wind power generation in India.

Church Point Ferry Service has earned a Silver Sustainability Rating for Green Tickets and switching to Australian GreenPower.

Plus… 91 trees planted

In addition to the carbon credits, a small part of the Green Ticket went to Australian reforestation. To date, we’ve put 91 managed, native trees in the ground. These are guaranteed for 30 years.
